My heart for giving back comes from the people who shaped me most. My dad served as a State Police Officer for 26 years. My mom cared for others as a Registered Nurse for 43. And my husband spent his career in the Air Force before retiring as a Veteran.
Service wasn’t just what they did - it was who they were. It showed up in quiet, everyday moments: the way they treated people, the pride they took in their work, and the care they gave without ever asking for recognition.
They taught me that real strength doesn’t need attention. It lives in kindness, in consistency, and in a deep sense of purpose. That legacy is why giving back means so much to me.
Over the years, it’s taken many forms - volunteering, supporting families in need, and one of the most meaningful experiences of my life: spending time with the families of our fallen heroes through the Snowball Express.
Every time I’m able to give back, I’m reminded what courage, love, and service truly look like.
This is my way of saying thank you.
Just a heartfelt thank you from someone who has lived beside service her whole life.
For me, this one’s personal
While we can never do enough to show gratitude to our nation’s defenders, veterans, first responders, and the families that serve alongside them, we can always do a little more

We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give

I’m not affiliated with any of these organizations — I just deeply believe in the impact they’re making and feel honored to support them in my own small way.
In case we haven't met
Our small but mighty team always found a way to bring the magic to life. My parents would drive eight hours just to help decorate and set up alongside me and my coworkers.
On the day of the event, we joined forces with local law enforcement, TSA, USO volunteers, airport staff, Patriot Guard Riders, and so many others. It was a whole community showing up with love.
Santa and his elves arrived by plane and jumped right into the party. We called it “the party at the gate at 4:00 a.m.” and yes, we actually partied. There were treats, hot cocoa, presents, and Christmas songs, all before our flight took off at 5:30 a.m.
Ours, the first of nine send-off parties happening across American Airlines stations that morning, picking up more precious cargo along the way. The Snowball Express enroute to Disney World!
Upon arrival, the Gary Sinise Foundation and hundreds of volunteers welcomed more than 1,700 children and surviving family members of our nation’s fallen heroes for five days of healing, laughter, hope, and connection.
Today, Snowball Express has expanded to serve the children of fallen first responders too. I miss it wholeheartedly, and I’ll always be grateful I got to be part of something that meaningful.
Throughout my years at American Airlines, I was honored to be part of the Snowball Express. Each year, I'd lead and design our gate theme, transforming it into a magical wonderland for the children and families of our fallen heroes.
It was early, it was wild, and it was full of heart. The kind of magic that sticks with you.
It means the world to share a piece of this with you. If something here spoke to your heart, I hope you’ll pass it forward, whether that means supporting one of these foundations or simply spreading kindness in your own corner of the world.
And if you’re in a season of building something meaningful and you need a website crafted with that same heart and intention, I’d be honored to help tell your story.
